- Android एक Oprating सिस्टम है जिसको Android Inc. द्वारा 2004 में स्तापित किया गया है जिसको Google ने 2005 में $50 में खरीद लिया था.
- एंड्रॉइड का इस्तमाल SmartPhone Oprating सिस्टम के आलावा Google Glass , Smart Watch आदि जैसे स्मार्ट गैजेट के लिए किया जाता है.
- Android Oprating System के कई नाम है जैसे Android Petit Four (1.1) , Cupcake (1.5) , Donut (1.6) , Eclair (2.0) , Froyo (2.2) , Gingerbread (2.3) , Honeycomb (3.0) , Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) , Jelly Bean (4.1) , KitKat (4.4) , Lollipop (5.1) , Marshmallow (6.0) , Nougat (7.0) , Oreo (8.0) और अभी का लेटेस्ट Android Oprating सिस्टम Pie (9.0) है.
- एंड्रॉइड ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम डिजिटल कैमरा के लिए स्तापित किया गया था लेकिन एंड्राइड Oprating सिस्टम SmartPhone में बहुत ही पोपुलर होने की वजसे निर्माता ने बाद में SmartPhone में ही काम आगे बढाया.
- Google ने 2007 को एंड्रॉइड ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम लॉन्च किया , जो एक linux आधारित Oprating सॉफ्टवेयर सिस्टम है.
- एंड्राइड Oprating सिस्टम पर चलने वाला पहेला Android SmartPhone HTC का T मोबाइल है जो 2008 में जारी किया गया था.
- Google का Android Oprating सिस्टम स्मार्टफोन और टैबलेट में 1 बिलियन ( 1 अरब ) से ज्यादा एंड्राइड सिस्टम में इस्तमाल किया गया है.
- एंड्रॉइड के सभी एंड्रॉइड Oprating सिस्टम के नाम जेली बीन , आइसक्रीम सैंडविच मिठाई के नाम पर रखा गया है.
- एंड्राइड एक Open Source Oprating सिस्टम है इसका मतलब की एंड्राइड को कोई भी इस्तमाल कर सकता है और उसमे कुछ Changes करके खुदका OS बना सकता है. जैसे Xiaomi का MIUI , Realme और Oppo का Colour OS , Vivo का Funtouch OS. या सारी कस्टम रोम है इसको एंड्राइड सिस्टम से ही थोडा अलग डिजाईन किया जाता है.
- एंड्रॉइड वर्ड का मतलब एक मानव जैसा दिखने वाला रोबोट है.
- एंड्रॉइड ऐप स्टोर ” Google Play ” में 48 अरब से ज्यादा बार एप्लीकेशन इंस्टॉल की गयी हैं , जिनमें से ज्यादा तर एप्लीकेशन Free है.
